As I told you last week, Vlad and I were honored to be part of
LUISAVIAROMA’s 7th Annual Firenze4Ever Event.
The event, which gathers fashion and style bloggers around the world to
celebrate Italian style, is magical in a way that I can only fall short
in describing. Every detail is so thought-out, each gather, dinner and
activity is more amazing than the next. While being wined and dined in
stunning Florence is a dream, Vlad and I were even more excited about
working on our Style Lab, in which we had the opportunity to style Fall
2013 items from
Girlsshopping.net‘s boutique. We were given a model, the super talented and lovely Rebecca, and told to have fun.
From hair and makeup, to location scouting, to picking the perfect
items to wear, this was a first for us. From the moment I first stepped
into the LUISAVIAROMA store, though, I knew without a doubt that we
would be using MCM for our first Style Lab endeavor.
MCM
is a brand you may be familiar with, but it’s time to get reacquainted.
Once German-owned, the brand has seen a renaissance under new South
Korean ownership, and even if we only saw a glimpse of what’s to come,
you better be prepared.
We worked with items from the
MCM Worldwide x Craig & Karl Collection,
which infuse a young, fun, quirky beach vibe to the accessories. Since
I’ve always believed accessories are the way to dress up your look, we
decided to keep the clothing simple and comfortable and opt for
stand-out accessories.
This is by far my new handbag obsession, actually all things MCM
Worldwide are, but the fun Craig & Karl collaboration is just what
I’m looking for.
